A PIONEERING CREATIVE PATHWAYS PROGRAMME OFFERING YOUNG PEOPLE FROM DIVERSE COMMUNITIES AN UNPRECEDENTED OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN PAID WORK EXPERIENCE THROUGH INNOVATIVE AND SKILLED PLACEMENTS WITHIN HIGH PROFILE ARTS + MEDIA PLATFORMS

THIS INCENTIVE BASED PROJECT CONNECTS YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 18-24 WITH INDUSTRY EXPERTS TO BUILD KEY RELATIONSHIPS AND NETWORKS IN THEIR CHOSEN SECTOR WHILST INCREASING THEIR SELF ESTEEM AND CONFIDENCE

WE UNDERSTAND YOUTH EMPLOYMENT. IN FACT, WE HAVE A PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF EXPERTISE AND OPERATE AN 18-24 EMPLOYEE SCHEME WHICH HAS PROVIDED FULL TIME JOBS IN CURATION, DIGITAL EDITING AND DESIGN FOR 13 LOCAL YOUNG PEOPLE OVER THE PAST 18 MONTHS

WE ARE REGULARLY INVITED TO CONTRIBUTE TIME, INFORMATION AND RESEARCH TO HELP INFORM AND SHAPE POLICY. WE WORK CLOSELY WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES, COUNCIL YOUTH ENGAGEMENT DEPARTMENTS AND EU YOUTH PARLIAMENT. OUR CURATORS ARE ALSO INVOLVED ON A NUMBER OF EXPERT PANELS AS AN ADVOCATE FOR CREATIVE FUTURES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AT NATIONWIDE INSTITUTIONS SUCH AS THE BARBICAN, DESIGN MUSEUM + THE BRITISH FASHION COUNCIL

*Survey completed by 100 young people who live, work or study in Brent 50 female/ 50 male from diverse backgrounds BAME and SES single parent households, migrant backgrounds + 1st and 2nd generation local students. These are the results of their opinions and experiences that are identified in our project. Data collected via social media polls, Mail Chimp and street surveys.
